Hello together

I have some problems and questions concerning registering accounts with a yealink SIP-T48G.

  • I've installed the newest firmware on the phone: T48-35.82.0.30.rom
  • I've the newest version of 3CX installed.
  • I have 11 SIP-trunks successful working
  • Our extinsions running with 3CX-App on IOS are working correctly
  • I'm able to call all extionsions except the T48 one
  • T48G can get the provisioning from the server
  • BLF from 3cx are displayed on Phone display

Setup
  • 3cx is running in Google Cloud with a fix IP
  • Sophos Firewall in the Office. IOS-Apps can register and calls/everything is working
  • NAT is enabled on Firewall
  • User and password for T48: 00021 / smalll3tters ( just as example )
Problems / Questions:
  • Which provisioning should I take T48 or T48S for the T48G? Is there a difference?
  • Account with Extension 00021 get's always registering failed
  • When I try to call extension 00021 internally, I get the error message Extionsion does not exist
  • I have tried transport UPD and TCP. Nothing is working
Error messages from Log for extions 00021:
  • Call to T:Extn:00021@[Dev:sip:[email protected]:5488;rinstance=09274bf4694c67a4] from L:115.1[Extn:00002] failed, cause: Cause: 404 Not Found/INVITE from 127.0.0.1:5488
  • [CM503003]: Call(C:115): Call to <sip:[email protected]:5060> has failed; Cause: 404 Not Found/INVITE from 127.0.0.1:5488

Configuration for T48:
  • Provisioning Method: Direct SIP (STUN - remote)
    • Provisioning Link entered through web-gui of sip-phone
  • Mac address in the form 001565xxxyyy
  • Select Interface: myhostname.3cx.eu
  • Local SIP Port of Phone: 5065
  • Local RTP AUdio Ports Start: 14000
  • Local RTP AUdio Ports End: 14009
  • VLAN Configuraiton not Enabled
  • "Disallow use of extension outside the LAN" is NOT enabled (updated after first post)
There are so many options in the yealink T48G web-gui, maybe I missed something I need to add after factory reset and provisioning...

Does anybody have a solution for me?

Thanks
Thomas

Hello @stoellchen

Please note that the supported and tested firmware for T48G is 35.82.0.20. You can see the latest supported firmware for each phone here.
The correct template for this phone is the Yealink T48.

Since the phone provisioned i would suspect that you need to navigate to extension settings / Options and make sure the option "Disallow use of extension outside the LAN" is not enabled.

Thank you @YiannisH_3CX

I forgot to write, that the "Disallow use of extension outside the LAN" is not enabled. But it's a good point for others. I'll update my post above with this setting and will try with the older firmware. Thanks for the tip

Ok, I've installed firmware 35.82.0.20 and it is still not working.

In account 1 I have changed the SIP Server to:
Server Host: hostname.3cx.eu
Transport DNS NAPTR
Server Expires 120
Server Retry Counts 5
I've rebooted, re-provisioned and I get the BLF keys and in the logfile: RPS request for Yealink T48 IP Phone of Thomas Stoll - T84G (00021) delivered successfully

But phone does still not register. I also tried

Server Host: hostname.3cx.eu
Transport TCP
Server Expires 120
Server Retry Counts 5

I've rebooted, re-provisioned and I get the BLF keys and in the logfile: RPS request for Yealink T48 IP Phone of Thomas Stoll - T84G (00021) delivered successfully

In Account I've also tried:

Enable Outbound Proxy Server: Enabled
Outbound Proxy Server 1: hostname.3cx.eu Port: 5060

I've rebooted, re-provisioned and I get the BLF keys and in the logfile: RPS request for Yealink T48 IP Phone of Thomas Stoll - T84G (00021) delivered successfully

I still have no luck. Does anybody have another idea or more details how to configure the yealink in detail?

Thanks
Thomas

Since the phone provisions automatically i would recommend leaving the settings default as all configuration comes through provisioning. If the phone stills fails to register you might need to run a wireshark on the phone and on the server and check why the phone isn't registering.

Thank you. I'll try this and I will see if some traffic arrives on the server side.

It's registered. I've restored factory settings. Added provisiong link. rebooted and now it's registered.

I have removed all old firewall rules. I think one old destination NAT rule made the problem.

So if anybody will have the same issue, here are my current settings:

- Factory reset
- provisioning link
- reboot

Perfect! Thanks for your support

Glad to hear is resolved and thank you for sharing your solution
