Template for Fanvil X5 (it needs fixing)

Dear 3CX Community,
I'm deploying Fanvil X5 phone, but there are (for now) three problems

- language is not correct (I've selected italian but it's always in english)
- there are 5 DSS/BLF pages created even if not used
- first DSS/BLF page is wrong (personal name repeated all over the page)

Is there an update for this template or I need to fix manually?

Also the "LED (Green/Red)" are out of service with this template.

I'm testing 3CX for our company (about 7/8 office around the world with about 250/300 internal phones in total), but I'm not sure if 3CX is a good product / PBX!

Hi simsim,

1. Fanvil X5 phones haven't pre-build languages inside. To update the language on Fanvil X5 phones you need to have the language files in provisioning folder. To have them there you need just perform a FW update on the one of your X5 phones.
Go to Updates, download the X5 FW (language files will be automatically downloaded too) and perform the FW update on your X5 from the Phones page.

2. This is the specification of X5 phones. We need to provision them with the maximum allowed DSS pages. Otherwise some of the BLF keys will not be visible.

3. A lot of our customers wanted to have X5 phones provisioned like this:
MWI & Headset keys + Line keys - on the first DSS page;
All other BLF's - starting from the second DSS page.
But this is not hard-coded. If you don't like it, you can modify the provisioning template as you want. You can create a custom template and provision the phones using that template.

4. What do you mean " "LED (Green/Red)" are out of service with this template "?
BLF's are perfectly working on X5 phones.
Are you using the 1.4.0.1935 FW version on your Fanvil X5 phones? Please remember: this is the tested and supported FW of X5 phones.
Did you correctly provision the phone?
Are you using the 3CX default template, or you already modified it?
