Terrible Front End Meeting Scheduler

Hi All,

Not sure if any of these can be fixed but if so please help!

Scheduling meetings with 3CX is a NIGHTMARE!! some challenges:

1. Zero integration to outlook, so if the calendar needs to be updated you have to delete the meeting and create a new meeting? - seriously confusing

Ok so lets try simply create the meeting and copy the link from the client and send the meeting out with outlook.

2. NOPE! turns out you cant copy the link from the client, you need to log into the webclient to schedule meetings and get the link.

Ok, fine. lets use the webclient and do this!

3. NOPE! tried scheduling the meeting with the webclient using O365 and the meeting invite is all over the show with no structure, doesnt even carry the date and time across?

How do people do webmeetings with 3CX? seems impossible

Does any of that carry across into google? Date/Time/Subject etc? or do you then have to redo it in Google again?

If you're trying to use BOTH Google and O365, you need to do it manually in the second one (but one would assume you use Google OR O365 as your calendar).

Where it falls down is when a meeting needs to be modified, as this isn't possible.

And when you need to cancel a meeting, it doesn't get deleted in your calendar of choice, or even take you to it to do so manually.

You can also use iCal which will generate a file you can import into your favorite email clients (containing the link too)

iCal i suppose is the best way (But still not a great way) of creating these webmeetings in outlook while still being able to modify the meeting if needed.

Is there anything like what Teams/Skype/Cisco WebEx do with outlook? Jumping around to create a meeting seems very outdated.

I find the easiest way to create a WebMeeting in 3CX is to create it for a date/time several weeks beyond when it's due to take place, then using the 3CX (Direct Email) option and not adding any recipients.

Now I create the meeting in my Outlook calendar and invite participants that way, and type in the meeting link for people to use. We use the static links so https://company3cx.com/join/firstnamesurname so there's nothing specific to that exact meeting, as long as the organiser connects first using their web client it's all fine.
Obviously it's an extra step (creating the meeting manually) but I find it's the easiest way.
