Update: V15.5 is no longer available. Download the latest version here. We’ve been hard at work readying a major new update - which bundles some great new features - and built on top of our multi platform and proven core v15 architecture. Hence we’ve named it 15.5.

3CX Web Client

The key feature of v15.5 is the brand new 3C...

I dont understand, sorry..... However, we know that a new Android client is required for 15.5 and we have uploaded it

Is there a chance to update Nginx to a non- 2012 version. Version 1.6.2 is throwing flags to my PCI compliance.

Our efforts will on the web client for the foreseeable future and I think this will soon become the client of choice for most if not using 3CX client as a softphone. That said we will re evaluate in a few months time.

Looking good! It came up in AWS perfectly.

In the past I have not liked web based programs as they don't have tray icons and toasters (typically), they are slow and never don't "feel" like a fully functional app. However, Connectwise has shown that by creating their own Dotnet front end to make their web app act like a self contained app everything changes.

Can you make web apps do reliable toasters and screen pops? How heavy are these web front-ends in terms of RAM and CPU compared to dedicated EXE apps?

You are about to be really dissapointed because ConnectWise is going to soon drop the .net fat client probably by nov 2017

When v15.5 goes GA, will it be possible to automatically upgrade from v15 to v15.5 by performing an apt-get update from within Debian 8?

Not all web clients are built the same. Ours uses latest technology, uCSTA for phone control - Result is a good looking and very stable client with minimal overhead on the server. Toasters work perfect. Try it out !

You will be able to update right from within the 3CX management console

Greetings.

By default, pbxexpress in AWS sets the server's timezone to UTC. You can modify 3CX's time zone, but some functions remain bound to UTC (call logs; backup time, possibly more). It'd be helpful if we could establish the time zone of the O/S during pbxexpress deployment.

I'd like to try the functions of PMS integrations.
Could you tell me the emulator or free PMS that can integrate with 3CX 15.5?

Fidelio and Mitel - per the post on this page from Nick.

What is the size of v15.5 update when updating existing v15 sp1 ?

Thanks,

You bet Nick, I already have. :) I have set up a test rig with a couple of Yealink T46 handsets and web app. The handsets are on 28.81.0.61 which the PBX sees as being current. I understand it is alpha at present, so there is much to come.

I have a couple of issues and I am not sure if it is my config, or something else. If I change my presence between DND and normal in the web client, the phone follows, but not the other way.

I can initiate calls on the software and the phone responds, but I can't answer a call from the web client. If I click answer nothing happens.

One really nice feature is that I can make and receive multiple calls and each gets a panel in the web client. Is there a way to switch between the calls? Currently I seem only to be able to transfer, or hang up and then I will go to the previous call in the "stack". Is there a way to get a toaster when the web client is not in focus?

Thanks craigreilly,
I knew that 3CX15.5 can integrate with Fidelio and Mitel .
However I don't have the software .

Because I'll propose the function to my customer, I'd like to try the function.
Are there any idea?(emulator, etc.)

Do you happen to have a release date for SP6? or Version 16 whatever is next. We are about to switch over to 3cx but we need to see the capabilities of the VAD as we have a complex requirements.

Hi,

We have this alpha successfully installed. But how work the hotel module web access ? With witch link ?

Just test out the new web client. I like it overall.

However, I can't seem to find where to change forwarding rules. Am I missing something, or has this been overlooked or left out intentionally ?

Yes its perfect :) Well, are you sure the Yealink is $50 extra?? It really shouldn't be. Its usually a couple of dollars, maybe $5 max per phone.... There is also HTEK and FANVIL, I am sure they can price match Grandstream?

Also keep in mind that the hardware quality of Yealink is also far above that of Grandstream

Is the Fanvil X4G supported?
I see the X4 in the list. My understanding the only difference is the "G" is a Gigabit model.
We use the passthru ports. I don't want to slow my network down.

Hi Nick,

Are there any plans to allow customisation of colours in the new web based wallboard? We've just installed 15.5 Alpha and the wallboard's colour scheme of blue on blue is nothing like the old Orange, Blue, Green, Red colour scheme which was excellent.

Many thanks

The details for the new webui are in the welcome email for an extension. There is no separate webui for the hotel module, like there was for v14.
