I have the latest version of 3CX running on linux and using yealink phones.
Time on the phones has changed to an hour ahead. It was working fine to start with.
How do I fix it?
Thanks

So proper time on the phones requires three things:

- Correct server time/time zone
- Correct time zone set globally or at the extension level
- NTP server set and reachable from the phones.

I'm guessing server or time or time zone is off. You'll need to correct that and restart the services or reboot the server.

Actually I think I misspoke. Phone time I think is just the global or extension time zone and the ability to reach a NTP server. I think it's the notifications and such at are dependent on server time.

I think this forum is amazing!
even if you don't get an answer it stimulates to shed fear and play with the system
all I needed was to go to basic settings in Yealink phone>dat&time>smtpserver>disable daylight saving and done!!

Hello @gluetome

Glad to see you were able to resolve the issue however you should not have to apply any changes manually through the phone to get this working. Are you somewhere that daylight savings no longer apply?

Hi Yiannis
I am in Perth, Australia. I think they tried daylight saving here a long time ago but it isn't used anymore.
Yiannis, while I have you; I tried your recommended solution for displaying our phone number on outbound calls but it doesn't work. I have 3 CX on a mini PC debian Linux. do i need to restart it for these changes to take effect?

Thanks

Thank you for letting me know. I will look into it.

To which post are you referring as there are multiple posts regarding this and not all apply to all scenarios. Also what are you trying to achieve exactly? One number for all calls or each extension should display a different number? Where is the number set?

I was referring to https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/no-caller-id-for-outgoing-call.47165/

All I want is when we ring our patients (we are a medical centre) our main number shows up on their phones, even if it is any of the extension that calls any outside number.

The thread you are referring to applies to a specific scenario for a specific provider so i would not make any changes based on that. Are you using a supported provider?

Yes I am. Chosen from 3CX website as preferred SIP trunk provider. AAtrox.

The default template for Aatrox should work for what you are trying to do as it is setup to send the Outbound caller ID. That can be either set under extensions settings / Outbound caller ID or if that is empty the main trunk number will be sent. Make sure you are using the default template included in the PBX for Aatrox

Thanks, Yiannis. I will probably have to call them. Is there a way to choose the template you are referring to in Management console?

Of course. Navigate to Sip Trunks and click on Add SIP trunk. Choose AU from the countries list and find Aatrox. We also have a configration guide to help you setup Aatrox correctly https://www.3cx.com/docs/australian-sip-trunk-aatrox/
Yiannis, sorry to take up so much of your time. I am set up exactly as the document link you provided. The template chosen in templates is cyberdata.ph.xml, but it still shows us as 'No Caller ID'
3CX is such an amazingly easy to use product. I was hoping this would be a one-click fix!

The cyberdata template is the first you see under settings / Templates as the templates are alphabetically sorted (for each group). That does not mean it is selected for anything.

If you have the trunk setup correctly with the default Aatrox template then i would recommend calling them and ask them why you are not seeing your caller ID. If they require a change then they should be able to tell you what it is. The default template works for us on our test account
