I cannot seem to trace a call. I got the date and time of the call. I do see it in the call log. like the caller is calling in and going to the person extension. The questions is how do that person get there? Is there a log that is easy to read and trace, I got the caller ID and the date ad time of the call and the extension in the call log. I know when call come in it goes into the auto attedant. But from there did they press the extension number to get the caller or did they press by dial by last name? Is there a way to firgure this out.?

I tried downloading the 3cx view logger app and download the . 3CXPhoneSystem.bldef and 3CXPhoneSystem-blrec. But i'm so confuse or do not know what to look for me. Any tricks on reading the log will be appreiciated..

thank you..

attached is the report i pulled from 3cx. as you can see i do see 3 calls coming into today for extension 111. As you can see the first two went into her voicemail, I wanted to know how did the user get into her voicemail for call 1 and 2? Did they press their extension number or did they dial by last name? and the 3rd call how did it get to her extension number.

Any help will be greatly appreciated..

Thanks in advance..

ok. another user just called into the system and it went to ext: 111. ext:111 asked the caller how did you get here. She says she dial 113. Is this even possible that dialing 113 get to her? Unless ext: 113 is doing some kind of forwardin, which i checked . NONE. I do see call going to ext 113 and no one answer it goes to her voicemail.

So maybe the caller pressed 1113 too fast? or the caller is lying and press 111? please advise on how to track this down.. thank you. is there a bug on the 3cx? please advise..

Highly unlikely that it is a bug. You can setup forwarding within 3CX, but you can also setup forwarding on the phone. Did you check both?

Ok. i'm doing a trace and I do see this.
18/06/2020 13:28:00:858 | 8 | [CM503002]: Call(C:674): Alerting Ivr:800 by contact <sip:[email protected]:5483/UDP>

So they went into the IVR and by CONTACT mean, they press 2 to dial by last name correct?

Ok, Can someone help me trace this log. I kinda know what happen, but just wanted a second opinion.

You can change the logging level, of the Activity Log to show more detail. The verbose setting should show which digits are dialled , from what I recall. This will generate many more logs. Only leave this on until you have captured a call.

Currently Verbose logging is turned on the activites logging. I'm using the 3cx log viewer app to dig down. But its kinda confusing. Anyone got an example of what i'm looking for? or a turtorial that explain this logging? I do not need anything about a user pressing what number. Thank you so much..
