I have upgraded to V16, and configured Speech to Text via Google Cloud.

  • I have a pro license, and followed the guide to set it up
  • I am on server 2012
  • I know the file gets sent to google and processes because when I check the logs for the system service, the transcribed text is in the logs.
  • I changed the SMTP server to 3CX instead of on-prem, but that didnt fix it.
  • The voicemail setting for the ext say to send an email with file attached
  • I do get the email with the .wav attachment, but no transcription.
I thought that I might me missing something simple...any insight?

Do you have a PRO license?

Yep, I followed the guide to set it up. It seems that it does send it to google and gets the transcription back, just no emails.

Thanks!

Did you ever figure this out? I just upgraded to v16 also and the transcription shows up in the webclient but not in the email. I thought maybe I needed to add a variable to email templates but don't see a new one in regards to transcriptions...

Check for a custom voicemail email template, and if one exists, remove it.

Go to Settings, Parameters. Search for MAILTEMPLATE_VMAIL_CUSTOM. If found, remove it so that the default voicemail email template is used again.

Yea, thanks. I actually installed a clean (not upgraded) version of v16 so I could see the templates. I figured it needed a new variable that I couldn't find documented anywhere!
