Hi!

I registered to this forum since i have the same problem.

In my case i have got a PAP2T, i answer to an incoming call with an analogic phone connected to the PAP2T and then i transfer the call to an X-Lite extension.

Everything works fine, but after exactly 55 seconds of conversation between the incoming caller and the person at X-Lite extension the line hangup.

If i don't transfer the call i can talk for hours without problem.

Any ideas?

Thank you very much in advance to people will help me/us :)

FIXED

the problem was because I setup a dial plan on my phones, so it was adding a 9 when it was trying to transfer the call. Whoops!

Everything works fine, but after exactly 55 seconds of conversation between the incoming caller and the person at X-Lite extension the line hangup.

We get this too. Using Polycom IP 330 phones. These phone provide two methods of transfer, consultative and blind. Consultative, you call the extension you want to transfer to and ask if the user wants the call transferred, blind it just transfers. With consultative it always hangs up after 55 seconds. I have no idea how to fix it.

I have this problem too. It seems to be quite common.

If I transfer between two aastra phones or two eyebeam softphones the transfer works well. It also works from softphones to the aastra phones. However, when you transfer between the aastra and a soft phone it disconnects in 35 seconds.

I am guessing this is a software or setup issue for the aastra. Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks in adviance

Simon

Good evening

We are using Polycom Soundpoint IP 501s. I haven't had this specific problem but I had other software related problems until we installed an earlier version of the firmware on the phones. You may want to contact your vendor and see if they can give you a link to an earlier version of the firmware. Unfortunately Polycom doesn't make firmware available on their website like any normal manufacturer, instead you have to go through their authorized vendors  You gotta love that

Take care,

We use the polycom 501's too and have the same problem with attended or consultive transfers, blind transfers work great. I have a ticket in with polycom about this and will let you know what I find out.

Hi there,

as i wrote we have the same problem when try to transfer an incoming call from an analogic/cordless phone, connected to a Linksys PAP2 or PAP2T, to an extension running Counterpath X-Lite.

After 55 seconds the call drop. I try to do a blind transfer as told by LLangston and it works great also with PAP2/X-lite.

I tried to contact Linksys support, but they don't give free support for VoIP products, so my workaround is to place on hold the incoming call, call the extension and ask if he want to receive the call, then he hangup and i recall him hanging up the call before he answer, so a blind transfer.

This works great.

Thanks to LLangston for his tip ;)
