Hi All,

I've set up a new 3CX instance and connected a trunk and done all the basic inbound/outbound setup.

When calling inbound and outbound, it's not working.

I've changed the default SIP port to proactively protect against SIP port attack on the default port. We have set this up with other 3CX instances without any issues.

Currently, we are on, 5160

When I try to make an outbound call, it fails:

04/13/2022 5:21:34 PM - Call to T:Line:10000>>(Number)@[Dev:sip:10000@(Trunk)] from L:1.1[Extn:310] failed, cause: Cause: 403 Unauthorized/INVITE from 58.96.1.2:5060

I can see in the activity log it's trying to call out on SIP port 5060.

I'm not too sure if this is a provider issue or a 3cx issue.

Hello,

Have you asked your provider whether they have port and/or IP address limitations?

Did you run the firewall checker on 3CX to confirm that everything passes green?

Also you are using port 5160 but your provider is still using 5060 so all requests will be sent from source port 5160 to 5060 and the replies from the provider will come from 5060. Also bare in mind that some providers only accept requests from specific ports.

It was the providers Trunk causing issues, they solved on their end. Thanks.
