UDP Commands Software Intergration

Hiya, my team use 3CX for out phone system, who guessed. We have recently launched our podcast and user some specialist software. I was wondering if we can use UDP commands to trigger a flashing light for when there phone is ringing?

On the client side, 3CX Phone for Windows can call an application and send the caller ID name and number as parameters. You don't need the parameters, but you could call a custom exe and have the exe send the necessary commands to your light. See Advanced Settings --> Behavior --> External Application.

To do this on the server side, you might be able to create a server-side integration using the 3CX template.

We built a "BusyLight" integration, but that is a USB connected device. If you have an IP device, I'm sure we could come up with a way to send the necessary commands to the device. This could be done either on the server side, or the client side.

We have a VoIPTools "Events API" where you can subscribe to call and presence events. This is what we used for our "BusyLight" integration. We can change the color of the light based on presence and also flash the light when the phone is ringing. We use different colors to match the 3CX colors assigned to the presence settings.
