UK outbound rules

I'm UK based and have two outbound rules setup.

1. Which covers locally dialed numbers (if a 6 digit number is dialled it will auto pre-fix with our local std).
2. One for national calls (i.e. 11 digit calls).

Are any UK users aware of any further rules I should look to add?

Also how does the system deal with dialing emergency services? i.e. 999 here in the UK.

Generally a local and international outbound rule is required, however I would confirm who your provider is and how they want the numbers presented, for example for international dialling they may want you to configure to add a + and prefix.

I would avoid doing catch all rules also and try and be as specific as possible. For security reasons only allocate outbound rules for the users who need them within the PBX.

Emergency services - you have a separate section under settings >> General >>
Emergency Numbers.

I tend to go:-

UK local - 6 digits, prepend
UK National - 01, 02, 03
UK Mob - 07, length of 11
Premium and freephone - 0800, 0845

Also when setting up your system it will decide what number your voicemail IVR will take.

UK settings default the voicemail server to 666 so as to not interfere with 999 Emergency.

Go to Settings > Voicemail and see the VM extension. If it is 999 you can change it
