I am attempting to implement FTPES backups. I am using a Filezilla server which has been tested using the filezilla client located on an external site. The filezilla client successfully connects to the server using both FTP and FTPES. I have confirmed that the Filezilla client FTPES connection is secured using TLS. I am using my own Let's Encrypt Certificate, generated by Filezilla, which was approved the first time I connected the filezilla client.
To ensure I am not making a rookie mistake the location used in 3CX are
ftp://hostname:21 which works OK
ftpes://hostname:21 which fails
I can successfully backup 3CX using FTP, but attempting to use the FTPES protocol fails. The logs are:-
3CX error message
Backup location configuration error. Please proceed and verify the configuration.
The relevant part of the Filezilla log states
[Error] TLS session of data connection not resumed.
[Response] 425 Unable to build data connection: TLS session of data connection not resumed.
I suspect this may be related to there not being a way, or at least I don't know of a way, to Trust the Let's Certificate (generated by Filezilla) within 3CX.
Any suggestions to help me resolve this issue would be appreciated. Is anyone successfully using FTPES protocols and if so what server are you using?
