Hello all,

I setup a new 3CX box in a Ubiquity Unifi environment. I am having trouble with only getting one way audio on internal/external calls. Everything I read online says to disable the SIP setting in the Firewall Conntrack settings which does make the firewall test pass, but I still have one way audio. Anyone have any other thoughts?

  • 3CX Version, e.g. Standard Annual 16.0.525
  • Server OS, e.g. Debian 9
  • Is the 3CX Server Hosted and where? Local onsite
  • IP Phone Make/Model/Firmware: Snom 760's
  • Provisioning Method: STUN
  • Trunk Provider or Gateway Make/Model: Twilio
  • Has the Firewall Checker passed: YES
  • Are custom Phone Templates being used: NO
I have opened all the required ports and firewall test passes, but still the one way audio. Outside of my network (using the soft phones) calls work properly.

So your phones and 3CX are onsite yet you have the phones configured as STUN?

Hi Luke

There are audio ports dedicated to sending and receiving the RTP stream, which if blocked somewhere along the line will cause the issue you described (even with a passing fw checker).

If the phones are on the same site as the PBX, it's a good idea to provision a couple as "Local" rather than STUN and see if that helps solve the issue when calling between them and through your trunk.
