Good afternoon all,

I am having a situation with unparking a call from a shared parking space. When I call comes in, a user parks the call with myphone in a shared parking spot. Now when anyone else in the office tries to unpark the call, they are not able to. They cannot right click to unpark. The person who parked the call is able to unpark, but no one else. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Here is an example log of the situation at hand.

A key to my log.
pbx_internal_ip = the ip of my pbx machine
gateway_internal_ip = ip address of my grandstream gateway
outside_number_dialed = the number I dialed out from my desk phone
main_office_phone_# = my main business phone number (this is what is getting me, why is this even in here? Ln10003 is tied to this phone number, is this why it is showing up here?)

This does seem to be the case indeed.
However if the user is an Admin of a group they should be able to (there is an option 'Can unpark all calls').
And lower down under 'User rights' is an option 'Can unpark all calls' but you have to check several other boxes to get there, such as 'See call details' and 'Perform operations'.
With a small office of 8, this should be feasible. But in a larger office like mine of 60... I am not sure we want group members having all these rights.

Well that was it. In V9, I never used groups because there were not necessary with the assistant. I created a group for all of my extensions and boom, it works.

Thank you very much!!

Nick

be careful with this. it looks as if everyone can now also transfer and disconnect a live call that is not theirs.
it would be nice if we could check the option to unpark all calls but not give the ability to divert, transfer and take a call as well.

It is small family office that half of the users wouldn't know how to do any mischief with this system.

Thank you for your help!

my pleasure.
