I have multiple users reporting issues when using the v18 windows client and forwarding. What happens seems to be a user error but I find it very hard to explain to the end user why this is not clearly visible.

Whats happening:
  • A ext.A recieves a call and answers this using the v18 windows client.
  • The user either pauses the call first or decides to att. transfer the call immediately
  • the user searches for the person who to transfer to and selects this ext.B
  • the windows client now shows the interface with both the initial caller and the newly setup call to the internal ext.B
  • what happens next is a user error : the user accidently selects the initial call by using either the mouse/trackpad or keyboard
  • What happens at this point is imho unwanted/unexplanable, the interface now shows both calls are connected but this is not realy clear for the end user.
what makes is even worse is the 2 internal ext. now have a full conversation, the external caller can hear the audio stream of the ext.A, the ext. they first contacted.
Its not clear why this happens and I'm getting a lot of complaints about this. Is there anyone else who can confirm this happens? Why is the external caller hearing the audio stream of ext. A? Any chance to get this fixed?

Hi Tom,

I was able to replicate your issue and will report it so we can improve this in a later release.
