Looks like the auto closing part is not in there yet or is it just me?

What does this actually do?

I keep reading that it's going to be possible to do office hours by groups but dont see this in the beta.

Are these settings not available yet in this beta?

Am I supposed to see something different or what? How does it work?

Edit:

I've found that enabling MCM gives me a 2nd option for global rights under groups which allows me to access Office Settings from the web client.

So, with this in mind, does that mean I cannot direct seperate numbers from the mgmt console and that I have no basically create Managers to be admin for tenants? Update: I can route numbers to Groups but further routing has to be configured from office settings.

So, global admin will set up SBCs and phones to extensions, tenant admins can then route calls to said extensions?

Dont see how to seperate address book - is this coming?

Guys its never coming back to the admin console. Its double work for us to have two web interfaces for all config features and we are not going to do it. So please drop that discussion.

However I did not say an admin can not do it, an admin can make changes from the webclient in the future..... Just doesnt need to login to the management console but in the webclient to do it.

Time rules will be powerful at departmental level.

@Osney Santos Chef - secretary such a feature will be possible in future versions after we update our call manager
@tronic yes go ahead and post it
And triple work for us. Thank you!!

I didn't see this mentioned yet:
To get the password for an extension's web client, you can "export" that extension, open the CSV, and the password is in the column "SrvcAccessPwd". I use this instead of the Welcome email method.

Please make the webmeeting possible to blur the background (or to change the background) so people don't see the real "office" you're working in.
In the weinterface or in the desktop app.

Everyone I know of my clients and friends use MS Teams (of something else, but less) because of this feature. They will never use 3cx webmeeting if it is not possible to do.

This is already an idea , you can upvote it : https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/video-blurred-background-a-must-to-have.84277/

I like the additions, however not what has been removed.

Removing "Auto Switch" from the admin interface is a BAD BAD idea!

This doesn't help the admin/partner support the end user eg. view the users setting, change/modify/disable this setting. I think it's going to cause support issues for the partners, onsite admins, hence community kickback.

I think Danvarii and I have the same concerns here as we also use dummy extensions for routing calls to queues with different office hours and forwarding rules.

Given that this is a beta I would ask this feature be put back into the admin interface along with it being in the web settings.

Has 3CX also considered that some organizations may not want end users setting this on their accounts?
- Think about managers wanting to ensure that employee extensions are active every day etc. and then the employee has the option to change this, the business operational impact could be an issue.

I thought that 3CX was using a OEM version of gotomeeting? Their platform is the same in regards to the background, had to get customers on a call and their hated it because of the background issue. What I would like to see is an option to disable Meet completely from the App as none of our clients will ever use it and have requested we block the traffic as they have MS Teams / Zoom or WebEx.

As far as I know, it's a 3CX product, not a rebadge.

What then create your own welcome email?

It's very disappointing to see the extension exceptions removed from the management console.

The management console is supposed to allow us to see everything and now we won't know what exceptions there are until we manually sign into each extension.

It's going to become very cumbersome and tedious - I hope the team will reconsider.

What is disappointing is the quality of the comments going from bad to worse.

Commenters not taking the time to properly review beta, review documentation nor read the answers provided by the team and me. Just echoing wrong understanding from a previous poster. Its drowning out good comments from posters that do take the time.

OK we will have to review the process with which we provide access to early betas because this is not constructive.

Your frustration here is understandable. I think that getting early feedback on large changes and providing access so that integrators/installers can test/update their systems is invaluable, but maybe an approach would be to limit early access to a select group - and maybe a separate section in these forums. Obviously I can't speak for everyone but I know that my team certainly appreciates being able to see what's coming before it does.

I have changed the parameter as the screenshot, but startup menu didn't appear in my 3CX web client.
3CX services have been restarted. Any other settings required?

In your "groups" settings, enable the "alpha" option.

It doesn't work like that. It's in groups you'll see the new stuff.
