I'm early and i'm lurking the new update

First of all, the new Phone-SBC things is something really huge for small customers, so really good news !

Second, I'm excited about the group things even if it will be hard to get used to it.

I have a question for the console admin and webclient system owner admin :

Does we will able to quick see the "group membership" of users, queues, ivr, etc... directly to the console admin or we will need to connect to system admin owner in the webclient ?


It's alpha version, I know, but is it on the roadmap ?

Really Nice Work...
Onboard SBC is huge.
Nice to see the unification of StartUp and the Base System.
** With Groups being revamped and given more power and focus I see all our clients taking advantage of those features.
It would be nice to be able to use Groups as an Extension/Extension Rage Filter in all the Reporting Options.
Really excite about SP6, thanks for the hard work.

The SBC works like a charm on the Yealink T54W. Setup couldn't be easier. Impressive. Now I have to review the other goodies in the update.

@MidiTélécom - Thank you for the nice words - group membership and more display improvements will come to the web client, the management console will be reserved for just a number of more advanced matters. All new style management and new features will be from the web client.
@Brian Buell - Thanks! Re reports - yes certainly this will be something we look at when we revamp our reporting next year....
@CentrexJ - Good to hear we are looking for SBC on the phone feedback as its completely new - from 3CX side but of course also phone vendor firmware side.

Hello, that is not allowed and the extension starting ranges will be from 1xENL going forward. So in this case since the system is using 3 digits 1XX onwards and accordingly for the other digit lengths.

Why is that so?

And will it affect systems that already have extensions like that? We use those for routing extensions or template users.

SBC on phones will absolutely be great on those small installs especially with the shortage on raspberrypi's. The stress from not being able to buy sufficient Pi's was getting quite servere.

I was however hoping on finally being able to use API's, that would be very beneficial for us.

Please clarify Root Credentials vs System Owner it appears that there is no symmetry in the alpha to assign an existing extension to the Root Credential user in the Root Credential page in Console Admin.
Is the plan to remove Root Credential page at some point and just use a User with System Owner because we got the pink flag requiring us to setup the extension after we upgraded, which we did but the Root Credential page is still there in security in Console Admin afterwords?

I was running V18.0 Update 5 on Linux. I followed directions to test the new Alpha 6 version and it appears to have killed my system. I get "Server Error" when I try to access the login screen. I've rebooted to no avail.

If running a fully 3CX supported setup everything should've been fine.

As a quick check:

• Check your specs and installed OS.
• Check resource usage and availability.
• Remove any 3rd party software.
• Check for any stopped 3CX services.

If you still need help, don't hesitate to start a new thread.

Note: Although thoroughly tested, Alpha/Beta releases are not meant for production environments but if this happens to be the case and you need to be up and running fast, just redeploy 3CX 18 U5 using your latest backup. You'll be up and running in no time.
