Hello,
I have deployed our Partner NFR in the 3CX cloud. I think this is going to be great to price this all in one place for cloud hosting but have some technical questions. I see "parameters" seem to be missing. We find it important on ALL of our installs to change the following:
IVR_DIRECT_DIALING_GRAMMAR so that we can remove the ability for an outside caller to call an overhead paging number for example.
ALLOWUSEBUSYOPTFORGROUP so that a receptionist that is part of a ring group can be on a call, see a new call and finish their current call then take the new one.

The "ALLOWUSEBUSYOPTFORGROUP" will be a show stopper for us to use 3CX cloud for our customers. How will the need for these be addressed in the 3CX cloud hosted system?
Also can you elaborate on the backend. I see no terminal or reboot option. Is this just running virtually and not on a dedicated OS. Do we only have options to restart services but not the entire server?

@mattm121 - you need to use a queue rather than a ring group for the receptionist.... That option you are using is not recommended anyway....

The parameters table is hidden so that we can control the installation. But you can always use private cloud no problem and have access to the parameters.

Restart of services makes sense i believe its in the pipeline....

Understood why you would want to hide the parameters. Does the call queue have a new feature to present a second call to an agent while the agent is on an active call? Most of my installs the customer has the need to do this with the receptionist. The reason for this is so that if you only have one receptionist that the call doesn't go to auto attendant if the receptionist is on the phone. Now I understand we could play ring back tone(as part of a call queue) while we wait for the receptionist to answer the call but the other concern is that the receptionist could be chatting on a less important call and not know they have another call waiting. The ability to use a ring group with call waiting solves that feature. Thanks for pointing out we could use private cloud to keep the parameters but with that feature such as a checkbox in general settings 3cx cloud would be a welcome and viable solution for us to push as a partner. We would also prefer 3cx cloud vs private cloud for the obvious simplicity of billing and deployment.

Hi All

Do we have a tentative date for when the 3CX hosted solution will be commercially available for us to sell?

@thames - you can already sell the hosted solution.... its free until end of Q1 and after that it will be very low cost or included in one of the editions. So you can go ahead and sell there is really nothing stopping you to sell now...

This discussion is silly. Microsoft 365 has been a product for years now. Microsoft 365 is a different product than Office365. The business plans being merged does not constitute a rename if enterprise plans stay untouched.
Notice how Microsoft 365 E3 is roughly 10€ more expensive than Office 365 E3. There's also a major difference in Services, Apps and Licenses between the plans (InTune availability for one).

Like I said Microsoft 365 plans have been there for at least a good 3 years now.

EDIT: FYI, if you scroll down on the page you linked yourself you literally see a link that explains the differences between Office 365 and Microsoft 365 and leads you to this page:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/microsoft-365/enterprise/compare-microsoft-365-and-office-365

As I told you 3cx now renamed it in the new beta ;)

You haven't told me that 3CX will rename something and the whole discussion revolved around whether Microsoft has renamed something, which it still hasn't.
If you want to be pedantic, request that it will be an Azure AD or Micrsofot Graph powered sync or whatever because with your logic Microsoft365 is still incorrect considering Microsoft has not renamed their products.

matt - did you ever find a way to address the lack of parameters/ALLOWUSEBUSYOPTFORGROUP in 3cx-hosted cloud deployments? we are running into the same issue you initially stated: we frequently enable ALLOWUSEBUSYOPTFORGROUP on many of our self-hosted deployments where they ask us to quickly address their very specific need of a single person in a ring group wishing to answer multiple calls even if other members in the group are online/active. We can't seem to find another way -- let alone one that is as simple to implement and works as perfectly for the stated needs -- as ALLOWUSEBUSYOPTFORGROUP. We don't even know how call queues could mimic the behavior of ALLOWUSEBUSYOPTFORGROUP, as we don't believe queues allow agents to see/take multiple call either. (See attached pic from 3cx training.) AND - if you have not found any workaround - all i can tell you is what we currently do: The most we have been able to come up with so far is, if a ring group participant is logged into the web client (this may also work in the win/mac client) and they notice the other ring group members' ring light indicators are blinking, they can at least use the switchboard tab to right click and pick up the call. (provided they have switchboard operator rights.) Again, this is not as easy as ALLOWUSEBUSYOPTFORGROUP, it requires the aforementioned switchboard rights changes, and the agent(s) need(s) to purposefully watch for the blinking lights AND then, finally, they need to jump to the switchboard screen to actually pick it up... BUT, it does at least let a ring group member answer multiple calls if they wish on 3cx-hosted .deployments.

Why, oh why are our parameters gone?
We have a 7 user office where 5 users are out with Covid. The 2 left are having to park a call and run to another desk to answer. All because we can't access ALLOWUSEBUSYOPTFORGROUP.
[Very large exhale]

PLEASE give us access to this again. Remember, we're now paying MORE to lose this!

No, they won't. As this would go against the very basic idea of "Hosted by 3CX".

Just host it yourself on-prem or in a Cloud provider and you'll get your unsupported parameters back.
