Upgrade Question / Yealink Template vs Firmware

We have been rolling out 3CX to replace all of our Cisco IPT environment ( 4 overpriced ISR routers acting as "CUBEs", two CUCM VMs, two CIMP VMs, two UCCX VMs, two CER VMs and two CUC VMs - ) ALL REPLACED BY ONE 3CX VM! I love it.

Because of timing, we chose to stay on 3CX v16 that we started the migration on. We want to upgrade to the latest 3CX version soon.

My question is - because our Yealink phones had to have custom templates to enable Call Forward All, I believe those custom templates will be overwritten "automatically" when we upgrade correct?

Am I correct in making the following conclusions about upgrading:

1. Phone firmware will NOT be upgraded automatically
2. Phone templates WILL be upgraded automatically

The stock phone templates will be upgraded automatically. The custom templates and firmware will not be upgraded automatically.

Flip side, you may want to review your custom template to make sure it has any new changes.

All of the above is correct, and just want to confirm that there have been quite a few changes to the default Yealink templates between V16 and V18, so if you MUST use a custom template, then I also highly suggest you "re-customize" it.
