Hi All,

I was looking at the V16 Alpha update today and hit install by mistake in what will be a production environment due live by the end of the month.

What would people recommend?

Am I correct in thinking that I can't just wait it out until the standard release comes out, then upgrade and deal with any bugs until then?

Thanks,

It depends on the installation size, configuration etc. There are people who are not affected by any bugs an Alpha or a Beta release has.

However, restoring to a previous version is probably your only option for the sole reason that Alpha releases are not upgrade-able. That means you cannot move from Alpha to the final release.

Thanks, that is what I thought.

Is it also correct that you can't just go to backup and restore and hit restore?

What about re-installing the previous version, then applying a backup taken before the upgrade. Worse case scenario might be a licence problem that could probably be solved by contacting 3CX.

I ditched the old system and rebuilt from scratch, praise the PBXExpress!
