I have a few grandstream gxp2130 phones running version 1.0.4.10 firmware. I copied the firmware for version 1.0.9.102 to the provisioning directory of 3Cx. In the gui it sees the available version but has a comment next to it that says:
Grandstream GXP-2130 FW: SP5 or higher version is required.

What does that mean?

Thanks

Version 15,5 sp5 or v16 of 3cx is required, to upgrade firmware to this version

You shouldn't need to download and copy firmware. That should be done inside of 3CX. Also, I'm pretty sure you're going to need to manually upgrade those phones. I believe they have to go to 1.0.7 something before they can go higher. The details are on Grandstreams site.

Hi ITHelp

The version is too old and they will not upgrade.

Go via the manufacturers website and follow their instructions to bring the phones up to 1.0.7.x at least and you will then be allowed to upgrade them from your 3CX management console to our latest supported version.

I would not recommend to add firmware manually in 3CX server's folders in this case.
