If you play voicemail messages by dialing the VM code (e.g. 999), option (5) allows you to transfer the message to another extension's mailbox.

If you use the 3CX phone app (Windows, iOS, Android) to review messages, transferring an existing message to another extension is not an option from the app. It would be desirable to have that ability from the message list in the app.

So his last phone system had a soft phone app? Or he's saying he could forward it from his hard phone before which you can do now with 3CX?

Then there's also this thing called voicemail to email.

This is a NEW phone system which can do NEW things. Show your customers how to be more efficient using the newer way of doing things.
This was not an issue with the previous phone system because of another feature it had that 3CX does not, but that isn't relevant to this topic. Instead of trying to talk down to my users and give them a round about solution (As seems fine with you) I would like an answer as to why what seems like a very simple basic feature after 5 years hasn't been implemented. There very well could be a good reason for it, but some comment... Any comment on why at this point would go a long ways.

I suppose you could call it talking down and a round about solution, or you could call it educating your customers. If you want 20 year old phone features, then get a 20 year old phone system. It's kinda like the people who complain that the PBX doesn't work like the old key systems. I can't think of any customer who asked about this feature that, once shown voicemail to email with transcription, decided this old way was better than forwarding an email.
