Use external application to fire a 3cx call

I have some sensors that, in certain situations, require attention. I would like to tell 3CX through an external program to initiate a call to a specific number..

We are told that a new documented/supported REST API will be available in the near future for performing call control functions including MakeCall. In the meantime, we have a REST API available today and happily "MakeCall" is one of our free APIs. We can help, or you can wait and see of 3CX releases the new API.
