We have implemented Office 365 User and Calendar Sync across a few tenants.
And so far users are loving it, except for one thing.

Quite often users will finish a meeting early and switch their status in 3CX back to "Available"

Which is fine but after ~10 to 15 minutes their status will change back to DND.

1) Why is this happening?
2) Shouldn't a user manually changing their status to Available override whatever is in the calendar sync? At least for the current meeting.

The next automatic status change should only occur at the start of the next meeting. At least that's how I thought it was supposed to work.

Some more detailed insight how Calendar Sync operates would be helpful. Thanks.

HI TecMate, setting the calendar sync to sync statuses when an Outlook appointment is created sends the start and end times to the 3CX extension to switch to the relevant status.

This is done via a temporary status setting within 3CX. So if the meeting ends early, the 3CX extension status will still honor the end time as originally set via the Outlook appointment. Unfortunately, there is no way to override this, other than to switch the status of the extension back to available manually.
