Solved Users List Suddenly Disappeared

All Users Have Disappeared except the original Admin User that setup the system.


Does anyone know why the users are not showing in the "Users" Panel? Is there something I have missed with the free version of 3CX as it involves a bit of effort to initially manually add users and to just see them dissapear from the panel is a bit painful.

They have mysteriously disappeared and I have checked using various browsers the same result one first went then the next day the next etc. Even when you "Search" they are no where to be found. Similarly I cant even "IMPORT" a users list as that list with the same users does not import.

If someone could help unravel this mystery that would be appreciated. Or atleast explain if there is a limitation on "user Creation" (as I know there is a 4 simultaneous user "call" limit and a 25 user conference limit) as I only had about 15 users in the list prior to it doing a vanishing act.

You are either

a) Looking at an entirely different PBX

or

b) have logged in with an account that does not have the rights to manage all extensions (ie. not the global administrator)

Many Thanks you were spot on: As I had prior logged in using the extension ID for the user with the same pass (and additionally the "IP address"in the URL directly as that had been how I had originally accessed it) when I tried the actual username with the same pass (but this time using the 3cx provided dns sub-domain name) that worked and automagically showed all the users...Sigh of relief!! LOL!

That said can I confirm is there a user limit above say 100 or so on the actual free 3cx version? As it would be helpful if one was also cautious of that if it exists.

Many thanks for the prudence reminder but the answer to that is "I really do not know" as we have not got that far yet as we only just set it up so we can test run it but many thanks for the reminder as once we are comfortable with the system we certainly will keep that reminder in mind.

You can create as many users as your system digit length allows, so almost 9999 users in your your case (excluding reserved system extensions of course!)

That is nice to know and makes sense (given the 4 digit extensions configured at setup). Though I think everyone already knows so probably not saying anything new,..3cx is a very promising and top in its class communication toolset. Its amazing there is a free version. Hopefully they may one day make it fully Open Source so the community can help it evolve. So far so good great product!
