Hi there
Has anyone got an idea of how I can setup a GSM Sim ( i have a huawei b315 router and connect an analogue telephone into the router back) There is VOIP option in router menu to configure - all i want to do is make outbound calls from existing 3cx PBX using the GSM sim card in the router. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The internet setup is not really a question to be asked on a 3CX forum I dont think, from what I can read above there is not relation here to the 3CX setup - 3CX will simply require the public IP to be sent through to it. I would contact your vendor or do a Google search.

The closest GSM integration available with 3CX FYI is https://www.beronet.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/beroNet_Brochure_GSM-LTE-Gateways.pdf

However this is simply internet access you are looking for hear, the one bit of advise I can give on the 3CX side is to set the PBX public IP allocation to dynamic and see if 3CX receives the correct public IP assigned to your line.

Hi @ajdpsa

Firstly, find out if the device even allows you to make GSM calls.

It looks like it only works as a SIP client, to connect to your provider's voip server and allow you to make calls via its analog port. If this is true, then it is impossible to use it as you wanted.

Hello at the moment i am making analogue GSM calls from the sim in the router on my analogue phone. so yes it does make gsm calls, but how do i make it an outbound for all exts on my pbx? i was thinking of creating an ext an registering that ext on the router firmware itself.. then using my reception main line , with * 77 to that ext ?

If the device makes GSM calls from the analog port, then you will also need to buy an analog FXO gateway that will connect it to 3CX. This may not be a very cost effective solution for you in this case just to gain access to a single sim card.

lots of shenanigans trying to make calls that way. Most surely impossible like said above, except with an analog gateway, if you have one available try if time consuming is not the point
