V. 15.5.15502.6 activation failed

In preparing for v15 we backed up our current v14 config from the prod machine and restored it to a new server with v15 on it. In the dashboard i see license activation failed. We have a perpetual license. This machine obviously has a different IP then our prod 3cx so could that be preventing it from activating? Or something else?

On our current production yes till 4-19, on the new build it says expired.

I thought maybe that could be an issue. So would the activation work by just shutting down old server, change IP on new server to match old and then try to activate?

So you'll want to reach out your partner or 3CX to make sure your license isn't locked for license abuse. Then yes you'll want to shutdown your old server before trying to active your new server.

Also make sure that your server can resolve and reach the 3CX activation server so it can validate the licence.
