Hi,
Our small company has been using Version 11 since it was released without any issues. As of mid January, our voicemail as email attachments stopped working and in looking at the management console, I see that option is greyed out on every user. I also noticed that all BLFs previously configured is also gone/greyed out and the red LED voicemail indicator on the phones don't work either. In researching in forums, others say make sure your software is activated. When I checked, it is now in "free" mode. I re-activating and got a 3cx message stating that it could not communicate...to check proxy settings blah blah blah. The computer that the 3cx software is running on does have internet access.
So I called our 3cx reseller and he informed me yesterday that 3cx has converted our perpetual 8SC license to subscription? And that 3cx may have discontinued activation server for older versions like ours? Has anyone experienced this or heard of this before? We don't really need any new features and was very happy with what V11 provided. I seen posts on command line activation but cannot find any specifics on that.
Also, I see mentions in previous posts to make sure your DNS is set for 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4 which our is. When I NSLookup activation.3cx.com the IP returned is: 151.80.125.88
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Dennis
