I see from the blog that the latest beta of v 12.5 has the inbuilt WebRTC gateway, very interesting, however is v12.5 a WebRTC server is its own right ?.

If you want to hold a WebRTC video conference solely on your own LAN, no external parties need to connect, can v12.5 handle this on it's own ?.

Thanks.

Hi there,
Yes, you can use WebRTC call links with your PBX local FQDN so that people can call each other from browser to extensions, no traffic to the outside required.

Hi,

You say...

people can call each other from browser to extensions

... but is it also possible to flip this to being a video based call as well (and possibly also desktop sharing) ?. If it is indeed possible then v12.5 could be quite disruptive in the VC market, providing a cheap internal system for collaboration.

If you can indeed use this for a video call would this then consume one of your 3CX licenses simultaneous calls ?.

Thanks.

Yes is is possible to call each other from 3CXPhone to 3CXPhone in video mode aswell.
Then you choose source of video which can be webcam or screen sharing.
It will consume a SC on license as audio calls.
