Hi,
We have used 3cx for many years and have a large number of grandstream legacy type devices such as GXP1405 and GXP1450 phones, we had been using v14 for many happy years until the need to move to v15.5 sp6 came about...
Upgrading the server was fine, however it was spotted that some grandstream phones were constantly rebooting, this was traced to the need to remove old provisioning files, which i have to accept was documented but perhaps could do with making bold in very big letters!
However once sorted our phones were happy apart from not respecting daylight savings settings here in the UK, i am no timezone expert but i suspect the templates are using the timezone string for the grandstreamexec phones rather than the legacy ones?
We also have a Grandstream GXW4104, now this thing has been causing us some grief, once we figured out the tones for the UK and the termination impedance etc we still could not get the thing to answer, eventually i set number of rings to 1 and things started working properly. Perhaps some documentation is needed for UK setup, what is strange is it worked fine for many years with the previous default template, however due to changes in v15 we had to re provision it.
