Hi,

We would like to upgrade from v15.5 SP6 to v16, but I've seen quite a few posts regarding how the call recordings need to be converted in v16.
I'm in the dark regarding this subject.
Can someone let me know what this is about?

We are running v15.5 SP6 in windows 10 on HP DL360 server.
Call recordings are mounted via ISCSI to the server.

Can someone let me know what has to be done after the upgrade to v16? How do I convert the call recordings?
Or Do I have to convert the call recordings?
Kindly provide me some information about what this conversion is all about and why it is necessary, as we have never had this issue when we did an upgrade from v12.5 to v15 long back.
I believe the v12.5 to v15, was even higher jump but the call recordings remained unaffected that time, what has changed in v16 to make this call recording conversion mandatory?

Thank you.

Hi @TechieGuy

You should not worry about this step at all, it is automated. V16 knows you are coming from V15.5 and will automatically trigger the conversion notice on your dashboard. It's a big red button, you can't miss it. Just press the button to start the conversion.

The reason it exists is because recordings are indexed differently now in V16, and the conversion is basically a one-off re-indexing so V16 can detect your existing recordings.
