The "Legacy Email" option will have an ICS file attachment, but RSVP has been removed as it did not work anyway,

to put it strained, your install has not tried or is updated to U8.
None of the ones you own or are assigned to you are on a U8 beta.

If you blacklist yourself this is what has to be done
which will cause for a cloud-based install all endpoints in your office to be blocked.

Given this information, I will remove your posts from this release topic as they are not associated with it.
Feel free to contact our hosting team for assistance, but the situation is clearly something else.

We're running 3CX Debian and I was wondering whether the CVE 2021-3156 sudo vulnerability would be fixed (either by the upstream Debian or included as a patch by you)?

Currently, all our 3CX Debian are showing:

This sudo version seems to be reported as vulnerable according to this page: Information on source package sudo (debian.org)

3CX is monitoring CVE regarding Debian 9 and Debian 10 on an ongoing base. However, we cannot provide a patch of a package itself, for many reasons nor is Debian's Security Advisory Team looking into doing so in this case. Here's a quote on "no DSA" meaning (https://wiki.debian.org/LTS/Development)

Debian Security team tends to mark non-Internet-facing vulnerabilities as "minor", because they are not directly exploitable, however, they allow greater penetration when the attacker put one foot in the victim's infrastructure.

In case the package owner will provide an update, we will process and ship the update to Debian 9 based installs. By ensuring and limiting external (and internal) SSH access to the host itself mitigates the risk level to a very small percentile.

But rsvp was convenient and simple. We have our smtp server and only standalone Outlook clients. Integration with the Outlook calendar was important. In my opinion, this is a step backwards.

If you are using Outlook Desktop clients, you need to use the Calendar Option "Desktop Outlook (.ics)", then open this file using Outlook. We mention this here:

One question, before update to 16.0.1078 mail with invitation looks in Outlook like this:

I suppose you can see the difference. Now i have to open ics file and check what's in it.And you didn't even add the variables to email templates -meeting start date, time, end date, time. And yes, I shared the link with users, they replied "WTF? Are you serios? What is this s***"

And all of that because in message header is missing "method=REQUEST"

There are some changes to this in V16 Update 8. Yesterday we released U8 Beta if you want to try it. In U8, some changes have been reverted as they were prior to Update 7, so it will be the same as before, when you install Update 8. Of course RSVP will continue not to work with the "Legacy Email" option, exactly like before.

Quick question regarding Facebook: I managed to get Facebook working with U7, which was quite a hassle with Facebook having to approve apps and what-not.
If I update to U8 (beta or final later on) will this carry over, or do I need to follow the new steps again?

After you update to Update 8, it is recommended you delete the Facebook entry you have created and re-create it using the new method: https://www.3cx.com/docs/manual/facebook-messaging/

The new method is much much easier and should take no more than 1 minute to complete.

This is not something new to Update 8, it was like this also in Update 7.

Yes, the Standard is missing not only this feature but many other great functionalities you could benefit from. The Pro and Enterprise editions also include 3CX Hosting, which after your first year of using Standard will no longer be available.
