It could be taking some time to propagate to all other download servers we have around the world. Give it an hour, I think it will be OK. I double-checked on the main server and it is there.

Any clarification that you can provide on the certificate that is required? Does 3CX generate this upon upgrading?

Just installed 3CX this morning, sent out a welcome email and the links to the Mac/Windows soft-phone have been removed as well as the provision attachment. Is this the death of the Mac/Windows client?

As we have mentioned before, the 3CX Client for Windows will always exist, but it will not contain any of the new features introduced with 3CX. The WebClient is the main point of focus and will include all new features.

Won't a LetsEncrypt certificate work just fine (besides regulary having to replace it)?

It doesn't have to be paid, just not self-signed (aka using the PKI and a trusted CA).

Yes, you can use ANY certificate as long as it is not self-signed, of course you should check that the IP Phones you are using consider the CA you are using as trusted. Remember, IP Phones have a considerably smaller Certificate Repository than Windows or Linux OS.

I don't like theory, I like to think of myself as a more practical person...

Kidding, just to answer you, in theory yes, but then you will get errors whenever accessing webpages, the mobile apps might not load the presence information correctly, IP Phones will at the very least need you to load the certificate, and those are only a few things that come to mind right now.

I'll just consider this as "thinking out loud" query, so let's just agree that you need a Trusted Certificate, and if you want to be 100% safe, use Let's Encrypt that 3CX provides.
