There really is no such thing as Teams integration for the PBX. Teams is speaking a whole different language. And there really is no benefit to 3CX 'integrating' with Teams because that's just a stepping stone to replacing 3CX with Teams. Really the only niche for 3CX and Teams integration would be people who really want Teams but are too cheap to pay for for Teams licensing for the entire organization. Otherwise is just a transition tool. And a number of providers can already do basic integration with Teams/3CX via the SIP trunking provider so you can have extension to extension calling. We have that capability but it's rudimentary at best. I suppose 3CX could try to write some integration between 3CX chat client and a teams channel, but again, what for. Teams for chatting is free so I don't see why everyone wouldn't just use Teams for chatting. Heck, I can't remember the last time I used 3CX chat.so whats the ETA on Teams integration for V16 since we're mentioning facebook chat & other SMS integration. I don't believe linking the M365 integration will add the teams groups for the users and just add contacts via email and display name. Any idea when and how we will be connecting Teams w/ a 3CX SBC or connection to allow teams users to receive 3CX to receive and respond to Teams messages,
Dear All,Hi All,
3CX management confirmed to me that a function to disable an extension to have access to Company Contacts was in 7a.
I have installed a test environement with this version and I don't find how to use this new function.
Could you please help by advising which steps have to be followed?
Thank you
Might be this. I don't think the firewall checker covers this.I'm using Flowroute and when I run the TEST for the SMS configuration, I get the following error -
"The PBX is not reachable via the Internet. Ensure that all necessary ports are open and that the firewall check is successful. The error code received is: UNABLE_TO_VERIFY_LEAF_SIGNATURE"
The Firewall check comes back fine, I'm not sure what's wrong here. Any help appreciated!
Got it to link up to Flowroute, but only able to send SMS through the web client, but not able to receive any. Triple-checked settings (especially the callback URL) and not seeing what would be causing inbound messages not to work.

Thanks so much, this helped me resolve the issue. I am using a Digicert certificate and I tracked it down to not having the intermediate certificate added. I concatenated the intermediate cert. in with the root and it is now working!
Hi All,
You need to enable SMS sending under the extensions. It's at the bottom of the General tab.Hi All,
This update is great; however, I am currently demoing this product to a client with a Profession 4 channel license. We are running into a hiccup over Telnyx SMS and 3CX.
The issue is that we cannot begin an SMS chat. We can only begin internal chats and internal group chats. I tested this on Enterprise 4/8/16 and on Profession 8/16 without issue. This seems rather odd as Pro/4 licenses are also Professional licenses.
We are running on GCP, tried a prebuilt 3CX license and migrated in via backup. No joy.
Tried a 3CX manual Compute Engine and the same. No joy.
Attached is a screen capture. As you can see we can receive and even reply to messages that are received and not initiated.
Before one says that this is likely an API issue. Note that the API is responding just fine. This is not a difficult integration. We are running off of Telnyx and have been clients with them for nearly 7 years. This integration is seems great in theory but is not working fully.
Not being able to initiate an SMS is not good. Perhaps this is a 4/Pro license problem? 3CX please advise.View attachment 19227
I missed that in the setup, thank you for making that clear. You need to enable SMS sending under the extensions. It's at the bottom of the General tab.
