V18 to V20, migration and FQDN update at the same time

Good Day all,
I have to update V18 system currently running on a windows minipc with a FQDN.
Final is to migrate to a VMware instance with V20 and changed FQDN to then extend to additional users. What would you suggest as sequence?

My idea was:

1. Backup current 3CX V18 instance without licence and FQDN and shutdown the mini pc.
2. Disconnect the FQDN from 3CX admin
3. Create the new VM instance with Debian (iso from 3CX), assign same IP of the old minipc.
4. Import backup from V18 and assign new FQDN on restoring.
5. Update split DNS.
6. I should be able to avoid any reconfiguration from the phones client and IP is the same and have new running V20 on VMware with new FQDN.

I assume I also have to logout and login all softphones with the new FQDN.

Any issue with licensing?
Any suggestion on the sequence?
