This is a good point:

Yes this can happen..and can be attributed to several factors:
1. Depends on your GPT usage.
2. Server sync - Propagation happens across multiple servers
3. Caching and backend processing
4. System load and performance.

We need to be patient with this + no one can keep up with the speed things are changing.

Additional updates from now on should be immediate to 15 min. (Still might still be delay)

Mind you - A thought that came up whilst writing this - Whilst testing the Microsoft teams feature, enabling a required option manually, took 4 hours on my humble M365 admin portal to provision and come into effect. When I saw this, I realized that A) nothing works like Amazon.,.. yet B) big players are still having challenges with large delays for settings to propagate... I found this quite interesting.

Hi Dear @58voip

My Advice for now, given the initial phase we are in, is to allocate a minimum budget you want to spend.

Start with a decent entry level like this - example taken from AWS calculator
  • m5.large (2 vCPUs, 8 GB RAM): ~$70 per month (on-demand)
  • Storage (50 GB General Purpose SSD): ~$5 per month
For now join a couple of meetings at random and monitor. Remember this is an MCU that took us 1 year in the making - it deserves to be rolled out with some handholding. We will shortly release some specs -> # of connections mapping table to give more guidance on the machine.

Hi team
Yes - we will have a postman project which you can import and instantly start sending requests to your 3CX API endpoint. Currently being tested.. Bear with us a little while longer.. But its a done deal practically.

Hi there,

We have no plans on allowing 4k in video conferences for the moment.

Edit: interestingly in v20u1 it appears the name is no longer shown on the Conferencing page, once you leave that page. It stays on the trunk > DID tab but apparently I can't remove it.

Priorization is great, both-way-sync could be usefull aswell

Hope it will be possible in the future as the customer will pay for the server, bandwidth, etc.

Two way does not work. they start to "Steal" the presence of the other. MSGraph seems not to like this so it expects a 1 way presence update. To 3rd party or from.

But I find that one way does makes sense. There are companies that have teams on their desktop only and use 3CX as a phonesystem. So they currently have to change the presence in 2 apps. Now they just need to make it in one only.

And if they have to use 3CX and teams for other tasks, then 3CX can push updataes to teams.

I am getting a call on teams and the sync is 3cx->Teams... In this case i have to switch the status manual in 3cx. Thats not really helpful. If you use the sync Teams->3cx and Teams is switching after some time to absent 3cx is also switching and i am not getting any calls at all.

That is not usable for any customer from us.

in your case you need to have this off.
This feature is for those companies that use "Single source of truth" -> Single source of comms.
MSGraph (and 3CX) are not ready for how you want to work. I attended Microsoft Build 2024 last May and this topic did indeed come up. We need to wait to see how they tackle this.

But ok - there is a big segment of companies that CAN use this feature Example the 127Billion $ igaming business can make use of this feature using Teams as source of truth. On the flip side, a bunch of hospitals, car dealerships and factories already absorbed the 3CX Source of truth method. We are not ready for those guys that want to yacht with the sail and the engine simultaneously. So for now, manage them both simultaneously. You lose nothing.

Thats not completly true. We are using this sync feature with msgraph in both direction und we can select which status should switch to which status. Have a look here: https://wordpress.t38printer.de/ this tool can do this with msgraph... maybe you can use this to find out how to do it.
 
Thank you for your comments - Actually the tool you mentioned (https://wordpress.t38printer.de/) if it does what you say, appears to have a robust implementation for handling status synchronization in both directions. We will investigate how this tool manages to achieve this functionality with MS Graph. Thanks so much and at your disposal for anything you wish to share with us. When we tried, it worked for the first updates and then both apps started competing with each other and it became a race condition of updates. If you managed to do this I am all ears. So contact me via PM to understand what implementation was used in your case.

Does anyone know how "OpenAPI - Whisper" compares to Google's transcription both in terms of price and transcription quality?

Seems this is related to installing the MCU on the same VM as the PBX. The MCU must be installed on its own standalone VM.

It seems you installed the MCU on the PBX VM and the PBX itself was installed using the 3CX ISO which is lacking some sources/packages e.g https://packages.debian.org/bookworm/dialog and so this wasn't gonna work from the start. Even if you fix this manually, you will encounter other issues like conflicting port ranges, performance issues etc.

The expected method of installing the MCU is installing it on a fresh VM with Deb 12 MCU. Whilst the install will also work on Deb 12.5 which is where you've both tried installing it, it is not officially supported yet.

The solution is to install the MCU on another host running Debian 12. This, along with more details, will be explained in the guides and FAQs that our content team is preparing.

why the "Provider Import" (XML) on the trunk page is gone on the new alpha??
have to change "RemotePartyIDCallingPartyUserPart" and this is only possible within xml?!
