I am currently testing Update 9 on my test server and I have just noticed that the Yealink T58W has disappeared from the list of IP phones assigned to users.

Is this a temporary removal?
I have several customers using this phone.

i wouldn't count on it being temporary, i actually have one of these for my own use and looks like it might be time to phase it out. the android based phones have been stated to be unsupported. it's why a few of the newest yealink phones won't be supported too. luckily on my end it's just an internal use device and not at a client as you're experiencing.

Hi, the phone will still work, no problem. However it is EOL. We are rethinking our IP phone support and going to make it much more flexible to add more models. Watch this space. For now you can use the phone as is no problems at all.

The DATEV integration has been implemented in the new softphone. Simply enable the "Enable DATEV integration" inside the user's Options tab. I believe it does require Enterprise/AI license.

The T58W is an Android model with 1 GIG firmware. It slipped in with the T56A and T58 models which are now end of life.

We have put it back for now. However we are working on a facility for customers to choose the Yealink firmware directly from the Yealink website. So we are going to make it much easier to deploy directly Yealink firmwares rather than having them be certified by 3CX.

In regards to the T58W in future releases of 3Cx you will be able to specify the firmware but it will take the 1 GIG firmware (!) from the Yealink website and also allow for faster updates from the phone...

However, despite saying "We have put it back for now." I don't see any Yealink template in my up-to-date U9 which covers the T58W, with or without the T56A or T58?

Do I need to rollback (temporarily) to an earlier update and retrieve the original yealinkT5x xml file?

The update is already available if your system had T58W phones. In this case you can deploy new phones on the system of type T58W. Existing templates we're never affected to be clear, it was only about deploying new T58W on such systems.

Now if you are deploying T58W on a new system which never had t58W (or used a custom template) then you need to install the template file which we will provide for download soon. (probably here on the forum)

We have T58Ws but the template had been cloned and the clone customised.

All of the T58Ws were provisioned as hotdesk phones with the custom template.

I don't seem to have the original, source template anymore T5x? Only my customised ones?

I only have yealinkAX, yealinkcp, yealinkT4x and yealink T7x


Hopefully the original T5x.ph.xml will appear on the forum for download

After this check the updates again, it should show you the official template is ready to be downloaded too.

Okay, I was under the impression that the template would arrive via an update, rather than me having to upload it myself.

It would but only if you have T58W phones configured on the system. If not then it will be back in update 10
