I get it. I suspect it’s all “in flux” right now as they’re still adding things to RC3. Ultimately it would be good to have a list before v18 is no longer supported…or better yet everything included.

Will this be an enforced requirement of the platform by Release 1 or the strong recommendation?

The current upgrade script does not allow updates if the specs don't meet requirements.

Hi, if I remember correctly, v20 would bring multiple phonebooks (phonebook for each Department).
I don't see this yet in the current v20 build, no mention aswell in the "will be added later"-list.

Any information about this available?

Deploying the application with MAC address imports requires a significant amount of upfront work.

I hope you will consider mass deploy mechanisms for Windows Store apps need to function before discontinuing the connection of the 3CX Desktop App.

Yes i see this as a very important thing too! Because we have many customers each with a lot of staff member that are using the Electron Desktop App V18. To install the new App by the staff member will not work and produce a lot of trouble.

Could the Windows app use SSO via O365 to login and provision itself? Assuming the user is logged in to their AzureAD account.

But be in mind that many customers dont use Azure or 365 ;-)

We are working on adding a 3CX login to the app so you can login using 3CX (including 2FA) after which the app will provision itself. This is planned for the final release of 3CX. Single Sign on login is possible too, but will redirect to the webclient and then provision automatically after user clicks OK.

Usually 3CX hosted servers are updated pretty quickly, however v20 isn't even released yet. There have been mentions of "RC3" for a couple of weeks or so and that isn't out yet either. That post says they are aiming for final release "end of January 2024."

Good question re the updates to hosted by 3CX. No we will not auto update all the installs for quite some time, probably at least two to three months, to give you time to prepare.

Also auto updating only applies to updates, not new versions. V20 has to be specifically upgraded to....

Yes, 3CX SBC will continue to work once the system is updated to version 20.
