Hi, have been using the beta 3CX transcription engine to see how effective it is - we've been testing it for voicemail and queue recording. The recognition quality has been good for us so far, still struggles with some specific jargon style words and names, but it appears to have less errors than the old V1 google API we previously used.
We notice there seems to be a long delay from when the call completes to when the transcript is available and it appears to happen in large batches. Looks like 3CXWebmeeting.log has lines indicating the transcripts being requested and delivered later in one go. Its taking about 45~50mins between calls and transcripts. I imagine the service is getting smashed as people try out the feature so this is not unexpected, and to be honest, a >30min delay in a transcript for a complete queue recording is not a problem for us.
Our main issue seems to be voicemails. They look to be batched up with the full call recordings at the same priority and subject to the same overall delay? This does impact their utility for an email notification of missed call. After a vociemail is left, the app notification comes through instantly, then the email notification is coming through to the user after another 10mins, however its empty of any transcript. The actual voicemail transcript is processed but comes through with the next batch of transcripts processed after the delay time (45ish mins) so is missing being included in the email.
If the voicemail transcripts could be given their own message queue at a higher priority to bring them back as quick as possible (mainly so they can show up in email notifications before that 10min threshold) that would be great. We're completely fine with batched delays on all other recordings.
