how do you set to have the voice mail messsge indicator light flash or turn on if a messsge is waiting

What type of device are you using? Most will work, by default, but some require the feature be enabled. Depending on the device, it will probably be a configuration file option, which, if provisioned by 3CX, should be enabled. There are also a number of options, in the extension settings, dealing with voicemail.

It should happen automatically if you use the template but if I remember correctly you manually configured your phones. So your options are to look through the 3CX template for that option or http://lmgtfy.com/?q=aastra+mwi

I did it manually as it wouldn't provision automaticly.
