I'm running 3CX on a debian box. Up to about 2 months ago (best guess) voicemails were being emailed perfectly fine. Now they've stopped. Buckle up, because this is a weird one.

I've made sure the firewall wasn't blocking anything, I can send regular notifications for voicemail fine, but when I try to send the voicemail attachment it never makes it to the mail server. I've monitored with tcpdump on the server and it's definitely making contact with the mail server and then closing the connection. I've checked that it's not going into spam, it's literally like the email just never arrived to my mail server (or servers because I've tested more than one with the same result)

Can anyone think of anything else it might be? Doesn't appear to be the ISP blocking anything either. I even set my laptop to the same IP as the phone system (shut the phone system down) and ran an SMTP diagnostic tool that was able to send fine with attachments.

So missing some details here, namely 3CX Version and what SMTP server you are using.

Hello @Eric Kline

In addition to what @cobaltit requested, are you able to send a welcome email to the same email address? Does the SMTP test work ?

3CX is version 15.5.0

The email server is currently godaddy's. smtpout.secureserver.net. But like I said, I've also used Office 365. Notifications and welcome emails work fine. Test goes through fine as well of course.

Also, thanks for taking the time to reply guys :)

There are 6 Updates to v15.5, which one are you on? It's the last digit on your license string. The current version (update 6) is 15.5.15502.6

I haven't seen any reports of problems using Godaddy's server but I'd definitely recommend using the 3CX SMTP.

15.5.15502.6 is the version I'm on.

And also, I have a standard license, if I set the 3CX email server, I can't change it afterwards. I really don't think it's the mail server either... especially since I've tried multiple. Also because I can send fine from a diagnostic tool with the same settings.

You are correct. If you were using a custom server once you chance you can't change back. Not really sure that's a problem though. At the end of the day you want the emails from 3CX and nothing is going to be tested/support better in 3CX than the 3CX SMTP server so... :)

Are all the emails sent to the same email domain? Have you tried setting a gmail on an extension and sending to that to see if that works?

I have, it's the same symptoms. I've tried to O365, to hotmail, and to gmail.

I that case i would recommend creating a ticket with our support department so they can look into the systems logs and see what is causing the issue.
