Hi,

All i have some ring groups and they are set to forward to voicemail of extension X when out of office is set.

I have changed the prompt for this extension but when its out of office the greeting is always

'Record your message and press hash or star to contact operator'

How do i change this or can anyone see a reason why this is happening ? When a voicemail is left is definitley on the extension X that i have set the greeting on.

Thanks. Alex

Hello @alex22alex

Do you have the same issue when calling the extensions voice mail directly? You can do that by dialling *410.
Also have you tried restarting the PBX services? The voicemail greeting could be cached so a restart might help resolve the issue.

Oh hey sorry for some reason i didn't notice your reply. Yes 3CX has been restarted a bunch of times since we made the changes. When i dial *410 i get the same message.

Im really stuck !

@alex22alex as a sidenote, you can check the audio file's content and that the PBX can actually play it by going to Extension>Voice Mail> Manage Greetings and select the audio file and play it on one of your phones as a verification.

Thanks this helped, it was not saving.

I have worked out the issue for anyone else, the page was not saving as the phones we use are no longer supported,so in the provisioning tab was defaulting to a phone we dont have. I had to delete the provisioning phone and then it saved fine.

Glad it was sorted!
