Voicemail Recovery

One of my staff just asked to have a voicemail recovered after accidentally deleting it. I wasn't sure if this was possible.

My staff member told me not to worry about it, but I am just curious in case there's a next time. Is there some directory on the 3CX server that deleted voicemails might go to before they are permanently deleted?

Check your backup if it came in before the backup was created... or maybe you can write a BAT file to copy the VM directory every 30 minutes?
But - I do not think there is a recycle bin for VM's.

Voicemails are just files on the file system. So any file recovery tools should be able to get it back provided the space hasn't been overwritten. Going forward if the users aren't using voicemail to email you could set that up, either to that users extension or a generic voicemail archive box for recovery purposes

Please note that once a voicemail is deleted, it gets permanently deleted with no way to recover it through the 3CX phone system.
