Is there a way of changing the way people leave messages?

I would prefer the person not available message to happen, then the peep. Then the customer just leaves the message and hangs up.

I don't want the customer to have to press extra keys just to leave a message.

the only options for voice mail are in the Extension details tab:
Enable Voice Mail
Play Caller ID
PI Number
Read out date/time format
email options.

customer just leaves the message and hangs up.

this is already an option. You don't have to press any buttons to save the message.

oh, ok.

It's just when the recorded voice comes on it says press # after the message.

Will have a play today and test, as need to get E-mail's working

yeah most VMail setups say that but it isn't necessary.

you may wish to record your own voice mail greeting.

you could do that. record your own .wav and replace the prompt called: "record_your_message" and be sure name the new prompt the same as the original.
