Solved VPS Linux - Install - Firewall

Hi There,

we tested a virtual pbx hosted by OVH and this works great.

Our problem is the firewall on the linux system. In general all ports are open on the VPS server.
I try to make a script for iptables and it seemd to work. Calls inbound/outbound, STUN all is working.
But the firewall checker does not work.

So, i was wondering if anybody has a working script for iptables, where the firewall checker and everything is working.
Unfortunately 3CX does not provide a script.

If you have installed Debian with the ISO provided by 3CX then the IP tables are pre-configured

Hi there,

i got the iptables form the linux ISO and could successfully restore them into my cloud pbx.

Now the firewall check is working fine.

We have also set up a test virtual pbx on OVH and this thread brings up quite a good question. As OVH provide the ISO for these virtuals is there anything else from the 3CX ISO, like the aforementioned firewall rules, that need to be "tweaked" after we have built the phone system?

I found someone detailing how to tranfer the firewall rules, and it seems to use the same method as the 3CX ISO for loading them up.
