W70B firmware 146.85.0.55 – no upgrade offered on V20 Update 9

Hi,

We are running an on-premise 3CX V20 Update 9 system and have several Yealink W70B DECT base stations.

All W70B bases are currently running firmware 146.85.0.55. In Admin Console → Phones, 3CX does not show “Upgrade” next to these devices and does not offer a newer firmware.

Yealink currently provides newer firmware for W70B for use with 3CX.

Could you please confirm what is the currently supported/recommended W70B firmware for 3CX V20 Update 9?

Is 146.85.0.55 intentionally still the version distributed by the 3CX firmware repository, or should a newer version be available?

146.88.0.10 is the latest

Hi,

3CX does not offer firmware upgrades for multi account devices like DECT or FXS via the PBX, like we do for desk phones and door phones.

As per our guide you can always get the latest FW from the official manufacturer site, and upgrade them manually:

Hi John,

Thank you for the clarification. That explains why no firmware upgrade is shown for our W70B DECT bases in the 3CX Admin Console.

We will download the latest W70B firmware from the official Yealink website and plan the upgrade manually.

You are welcome, keep in mind the link in our guide as also shared above by @Alphabetic points to the firmware that Yealink has tested and certified for 3CX.

Their main website may have a different version, just pointing that out in case you come across it and wonder what the difference is.

I have one more question regarding the DECT handsets themselves. We are using W73H handsets with our W70B bases.

I can see W73H listed as a supported handset in the 3CX Yealink DECT guide, but I cannot find a specific 3CX-certified firmware download/version for the W73H there.

In this case, should we simply download and install the latest W73H firmware directly from Yealink, or is there a specific W73H firmware version that is tested/certified for use with 3CX and W70B?

For example, Yealink currently provides W73H firmware 116.88.0.15. Would this version be recommended for use with 3CX?
