The 3CX Chrome extension will no longer function as of 30th June and no longer functions for systems that have upgraded to V18 SP3+. The only option for customers now is to move to the Web App (PWA) or to deploy the desktop clients. The desktop client is no longer viable for many customers, so this leaves the PWA as their only option.
The Web App presents an issue for Enterprise customers with distributed teams and strict security policies, because end-users do not have the rights to install the PWA from within the Web Client. This was not an issue with the Chrome extension, as it was possible to push it out via GPO.
3CX Enterprise customers must be given the ability to deploy the Web App (PWA) via GPO before the 30th June deadline.
It is possible to install PWAs via GPO as outlined here but the 3CX Web App does not currently support this feature.
