When an office user logs into the 3CX web client they are shown other user's phone calls that are currently in use and the caller ID phone number they are talking to. This is a rather huge issue with management talking to entities that staff should not know about. Is there a way to turn this feature off for normal "Users" and yet leave it on for management?

Hello,

Are you referring to the Switchboard in the webclient, specifically for queue calls?

The ability to allow other users to see your active calls is dictated by the Group Rights. You can have users of the Group set to 'Show Calls to Group Members' but have 'Can See Group Calls' turned off. Then the Group Managers can have 'Can See Group Calls' turned on. This will allow Group Managers to see active calls but not the users, this is how we have our system set up. Bear in mind that if you have users who are members of multiple groups you might need to adjust these settings for all relevant groups

No call queues in use. Unchecked, and I seem to recall doing that long ago, but they were checked. Everyone's input was most appreciated.

I wish the wording was a bit clearer, what is the difference between "Can see group calls" and "Show calls to group members"?

One allows you to "show" the other allows you to "see" so I think this is pretty clear :)

Remember that the same rights appear on a per-extension basis, so you can set up the initial rights from the Group rights, and then modify each extension separately.

For example, you may want to show-calls to all by default, but you may also want to disable see-calls on some of the extensions individually.

Follow my previous link above and it will help you understand better, or you can simply view the pre-recorded webinar because I understand when there many options it can get a bit confusing. Let me know if I can be of further assistance
