Hello,

recently we noticed an issue with webclient sound outside of LAN (it was working before). We get no sound with all externals calls with webclient outside of LAN.
ofc we checked firewall config in first : seems not be an issue, we allow 5001, 5090, 443, 9000-10999, 5060, 5061 as describe in 3cx firewall webpage.

We then investigate, trying differents browsers. and its is not working with firefox and chrome but working with edge!!
We then checked on a old computer, with an old version of firefox and it was working first, then we update firefox and its not working anymore.

Did someone notice a change in webclient following recents browsers updates ? What do you think it can be ?
thx,

Hi @Clément Rousseau

Please note that only Chrome is a supported browser for the Web Client.

What version is you PBX currently?

version 16.0.0

Firstly I would recommend to update to SP1 which is the latest version if you havent already. I can also confirm that the webclient works correctly tested on latest Chrome Version 75.0.3770.100

To get sound, you must make sure the firewall check passes in the management console. Does this pass?

ok we have found where is the problem. Firewall check is ok but its in the way the Firewall inspect https 443.
as 3CX use https to communicate wich audio ports will be in use, it was the problem.
I will try explain more once we tested everything but we are on the good track

Hi Clément,

I'm glad you found the cause, let us know how it goes

the solution we have found is correct. Watchguard can be configure to inspect https 443 as client or server and we choose the wrong one (problably we let the default one).
and as I said as 3CX use https to communicate wich audio port will be used, failure in https communication result in not even trying opening audio port.
thx John for trying helping me, I think we can close this topic if its the way 3cx forum works (dont know how to do it),
