Hi there!

I have a problem with web clients of some company members.

They can’t do calls or the get broken in the first seconds.

3CX Extension Version 4.3.0.348
Chrome Version 95.0.4638.54
MacOS 11.2.2

As workaround switching to incognito mode works!
I there a final solution?

Thanks,

Stefan

web client worked but it's not that great to use, any plan to get the release of the native client for MacBook? or any other client recommend like X-lite?
The 3CX Desktop app is actually planned to be released for Mac as well at some point. There's no ETA yet but you can keep an eye on our "Product Information & Releases" section in our forums.

You say you are not using any browser plugins.
could you please send a full screen screenshot showing this error please?

Just to confirm:

• You had completely uninstalled the 3CX browser extension from chrome, then only used the webclient and this worked ok for 2 days. Now the problem is back without the browser extension being reinstalled?

• You previously mentioned that Edge does not work well so could you please explain exactly what you mean? Also, do you still get the same "WebRTC line is not registered" message when using the webclient WITHOUT the browser extension installed in Edge?

• Do you happen to have a second Mac to test the SAME EXACT extension on both Chrome and Edge without the browser extension installed? Do you get the same error message?

We don't use Edge browsers and yes you're right I have uninstalled the extension from chrome completely and it was working for 2 days moreover, with the chrome extension also I have the same experience, everything was working for me for 2/3 days, and issues started after that.
I have tested on 3 MacBooks all gave me the same issues, test on edge initial but not now as we don't recommend using that browser.
Do you guys have any permanent solution rather than changing the browser, none of our employees uses edge and it will be challenging for us to use 3CX with these issues, as I have 50+ Mac users (all are senior members).

If you've tested 3 different Mac devices and all have the same issue it would suggest that the problem is something other than the Mac device itself.

• Were all tested with the same PBX?
• Were all tested with the same extension?
• Were all three Mac devices on the same network?

I feel I need to clarify here because you seem to have misunderstood our Intentions. We're not trying to persuade you to permanently change the web browser, we're merely trying to help you troubleshoot the issue by first trying to narrow it down to something specific such as the browser, PC, network, etc. If for instance it works fine when using Microsoft Edge I'll then be able to investigate this further and probably focus on Google Chrome more, otherwise, if it fails on Edge too, we'd probably look elsewhere instead of the web browser. The more information we gather about this issue the better.

In addition to my previous response, please bear in mind that v18 U2 has actually just been released so it would be a good idea if you also upgrade the PBX and then test this again, let me know if anything changes when you do so.
